How many times have you heard parents say, “my baby won’t take a bottle, what do I do?” There is a reason for this, feeding from a bottle or spouted cup is not a natural progression. Bottles and spouted cups were invented for the convenience of the parents and not the natural development of the child. Breast fed babies can use the Doidy Cup as early as 3 months with expressed milk or formula and bottle fed babies can start as early as 6 months. If your baby/toddler/child is not using an open cup and is over 6 months of age the Doidy Cup is a recommended tool to help them reach their goal of drinking from an open rim.
